Rather, it is to be read, pondered, internalized. President Monson has taught us: “Your patriarchal blessing is not to be folded neatly and tucked away. But I would love if I could link Mosiah 15 : 23 for instance directly, in the GL app, to Paragraph 7 Sentence 2 in my PB. And when I think a scripture or a thought applies to my PB I will make a note at the scripture level that it refers back to my PB. So right now, my work around is that I have typed out my PB and placed it into a notebook of mine in the GL app. It could be as simple of a fix as allowing "notes" or "notebooks" or "journal entries" to become a usable document, or to almost make it a "pdf" that is a static document that I can highlight and link just like the scriptures and talks right now. I haven't found any way to do it through the Gospel Library app. Is there a way that you could allow my PB to be footnote-able? I would love to highlight specific scriptures on how to have more faith to my PB that tells me to "always strengthen your faith." Does that make sense? So I will link scriptures back to important parts of my blessing either that have to do with blessings, cautions, or admonitions in my PB. The way I do that is I reference everything that stands out to me back to my Patriarchal Blessing (PB). I use my Patriarchal Blessing as my own Liahona. I just have one small suggestion that I have been doing for years at home and in my own scriptures that has really changed the gospel for me. I found the option to force WiFi only in the settings, but I think most users would expect an app like this use WiFi unless they opt into using cellular data.I love that I can now view my patriarchal blessing directly from the site. When I reinstalled the app this afternoon (hoping it would remedy the download issue) I noticed that it was chewing up my wireless phone data rather than WiFi. Please fix this issue as I often don't have access to the Internet (and thus unable to re-download the content) when I want to read from LDS Gospel Library.Īlso, please make downloads from Gospel Library use WiFi by default. I think I've downloaded "The Book of Mormon" about 15 times today while at church. I can repeat this process for any content in the Library (General Conference Ensign, Teachings of the Presidents, etc.) However, as soon as I exit Gospel Library and then start the app again, all the content is again "grayed out" as if I had never downloaded it before. The Book of Mormon), the book downloads and I can read it. I am using LDS Gospel Library v4.0.1.2 on Android 6.0.1 (Samsung Galaxy Note 5)Įver since updating to this new version of Gospel Library, I've noticed an issue where content that is downloaded within the app seems to be deleted after the app is closed.Įxample: If I launch LDS Gospel Library and open the "Scriptures" category, The Standard Works and associated materials appear "grayed out" (indictating that they have not been downloaded).
